With our Autumn days settling in here I couldn't resist sharing this pattern - plus this is another that is perfect for mini munching!

Designed to make the most of the @koiguwool pencil box set featuring 10 colours, Venation Shawl will keep you inspired to knit as you work toward each colour. Simple shaping also keeps the project interesting and results in an easy-to-wear shallow triangle shawl. It is inspired by the venation structure of leaves, and the autumnal colours chosen for the sample reflect this. Of course, any colour fade combination will shine with this project as will knitting a solid colour version, allowing the venation structure to be the focal point.

Let's Twist! Today's #featuredFriday50 pattern is the Twist Cardigan.

A “twist” on a top down raglan garment, the Twist Cardigan offers plenty of opportunity for you to add your own twist to yours. Begin by choosing between the Waist, Thigh and Knee Length, then add colour to the party. Twist was originally designed with a mini-skein festive set in mind and offers a myriad of ways to incorporate minis into the knit. Knit stripes to showcase the yarn, blend a gradient set of yarn for a continuous fade or have fun with colour blocking. A contrasting main colour serves to enhance the chevron design and provides a counterpoint. Worked in fingering weight yarn, you may also like to hold a strand of kidsilk mohair together to create a cosier luxe version for chillier days.
