Kentia Cowl

Posted on

I’m rather excited to share my first new design of 2021 with you; the Kentia Cowl. You may be familiar with my two other Kentia patterns, the Kentia Hat and Kentia Wrap. All feature a combination of mosiac and slip stitches to form a striking chevron pattern. I have had so much fun with this stitch pattern, using leftovers, colour change yarn and solids in various projects, all to great effect.

Knit flat, the Kentia Cowl knits up quickly in worsted weight yarn and is finished off with i-cord edging and a neat i-cord seam transforming it to a tube.
Haven’t knit mosaic before? trust me, it’s so much easier than it looks, and quite addictive once you get the hang of it. Unlike stranded colourwork, only one colour is worked per round, and stitches are slipped to create texture and pattern. Take it further by playing with colour in your project.

As usual I have a special introductory offer and I thought it would be fun to extend it to the Kentia Hat and Wrap patterns too. I made a matching Kentia Hat with the leftover yarn – even though the yarn weight was heavier I followed the  pattern for my size and it worked out beautifully.

Introductory offer: Enjoy 20% off The Kentia Cowl and also my other two Kentia patterns; Kentia Hat and Kentia Wrap through midnight January 31, 2021 Just add them to your cart to see the new price, no code needed.
